Jeez I guess the walleye and muskie have taken over the forum, which is fine of course! I'm guilty of not posting a report from last week cuz' of a busy weekend with daddy-daughter stuff - so I'm wondering if no one is still bass fishing or everyone's too busy to post a report or if no one wants to because of the "issues" on the forum of late...
Anyways, I hope the bassers are out and having good luck - and I hope to be out VERY soon again and be able to post a meaningful report!
As far as last week, I boated my new personal best - OMG I can't remember how much it weighed (brain fart - less than 6lbs though), but 21"... then my nephew got a 5lb 11oz full of eggs...

I hope people aren't holding back from posting because of forum issues. I've noticed a downswing too from last year. I know a couple of guys are PO'd with LSCN and us mods and one guy in particular has promised to not post a single report, and then just post a big bragging thread at the end of the year.
But I hope the rank and file member can trust us to "protect" them and their report threads from anyone who'd want to detract. Now if there's an egregious issue with a fish caught, like it was snagged, or there was just terrible handling of a fish that was to be released, there'll be I'm sure some constructive criticism, but the bashing or harrassing will be quashed.
But for you though, that's a nice fatty ya got there. Great looking fish!

Thank you - I found out my fish was 4-11, not a monster but still my best to-date... I take my nephew out for the 2nd time this year and he outfishes me both times! He apparently doesn't know the rules
I hope that members aren't holding off too - that seems silly, but who knows?
"the bashing or harrassing will be quashed" - say that 3 times fast! lol
i've still been catching smallies and largies around beacon cove. all males tho and yesterday had a muskie chasing a bass i had on.
also, bass must be chasing baitfish becasue they were jumping out of the water like crazy. i threw a top water but only had 2 missed hits.
