A fuel/water separator filter when you take it off? Actually the filter isn't the problem as much as the gas in it. What the heck do you do with that?

Pour it into a coffee can to confirm no debris or water.

If the gas looks good, use it in the lawnmower!

I always put it in a jar to see how much water and then use it in the mower
