QUOTE(Fast~Eddie @ Dec 30 2003, 12:05 PM)you know those waves of shiver, shutter, & goose bumps on your skin when you are sick?
then go from freezing to dripping sweat in no time flat?
is it cold blood?
is it an uprising in the red blod cells fighting off the virus?
why does my hair on my head hurt?
ok - your cold because your energy is being used for your immune system,
goose bumps because you are cold
freezing to hot because after being cold for quite a while, when you get back to normal, it seems hot, especially if you are all dressed for being cold. So the hot times are proof that your body is making progress killing off the enemy.
As for the hair thing, I find that people with hair complain about this after lying around on their hair and it gets pulled.
Pandora's philosophy on virusses is to kill them off with alcahol. They'll die off before you do and your immune system will be better for it not to mention you won't care that you are sick.
