Ok, So I was sitting in my new boss's office today listening to him go on and on about how "things have to change". My new boss is not a very nice or happy person at that fact. He is wierd because he will go on and on and put people down and then he will bring up something personal in his life like how he doesn't ever "get any". How wierd is that. So while I was listening to him ramble, I kept thinking to myself, if there was no such thing as burning bridges and I were to quit my job, I think I would just tell this guy off. I was sitting there thinking of all of the things that I would say and I started laughing. He was not too pleased with my laughing but I am sure that he will get over it.

So the moral of my question is, what would you say to your boss if you quit your job and there was no such thing as burning bridges??

Just curious.

Sara, it's been my experience that a guy talking about not getting any, is a prelude to some potential sexual harrassment based on your response. I'd be careful. Especially if he brings you a rag and some Brasso and starts asking you to "polish the knobs"!!

OMG...I would sooo like to say soooo many things. In fact sometimes I do. They just fly out of my mouth and I can't believe I just said that to him. Money has changed the guy. He used to be somebody I viewed as a mentor...but now....hmmm sometimes I worry about the thoughts that ramble thru my head and I can't get myself to go away. The voices I hear sometimes last for hours.

well, i LOVE my boss... oh wait... i'm the boss! lol!

well, could this apply to clients? i have some choice words for payment collecting time!

i got a chance to tell off my old boss (joe nieporte). he lied to me and i got to tell him that i already knew the true story and that his lying was pathetic. then when he threatened me & my new company, i told him he didn't scare me, i've faced and backed down bigger more important men than him, and that i no longer had any respect for a so-called man who couldn't take the blame for his own mistake.

he told me 'you made your bed, now you'll have to lie in it.' then hung up.

epilogue: he lost lots of $$ on several verntures since it happened. ha ha.

CK before you launch off on a tirade do you stand in front of your intended victim with your hands on your hips and bending at the knees yell "READY!! O.K.!!" and then verbally defile them?? (I understand that's like a cheerleader prepatory yell thingie!!)

LOL!! Ok he just came downstairs and told an entire depot that they were worthless. ha, ha, ha.....can anyone say PROZAC!!

Actually Hubby and I have traveled with this guy and his wife a couple of times before he got his promotion and he wasn't half bad. His wife is super-super nice. When he talks about not getting any, I tell him that I am sure glad that I don't have that we (me & hubby) don't have that problem. You know no matter if it is true or not, it is like me rubbing salt in an open wound hee, hee!!

I told my boss that he was losing the company money by the way he ran things. He harrassed me and put so much pressure on me that i ended up quitting and suing the company. he was fired not long afterwards. Now the company has signed a contract with me to provide them services for the next four years at a much higher rate of pay than they would have paid me as an employee!!...

It has always been my experience that you should never burn any bridges!

you never know when you might need a reference or something like that-

OR- who know's where your life takes you....you might find yourself desperately needing a job! could you go back? you probably don't think you'd want to right now......but what if you were desperate? what if there were no other jobs available?
