I have a couple old 401k's I need to consolidate (too many fee's) and I'm not opening a 401k with work just yet, too busy payin bills.

I was looking at my bank www.53.com and also www.fidelity.com.

anyone use other places?

I would look into rolling your 401k into a Roth IRA...Fidelity is a good choice and they make it easy there...I would definetly talk to someone that knows their stuff about fees and rules though....Regulations have been changing at a fast pace and year to year....

Vanguard Funds Are my top choice.

Fidelity is good, however they have high Front end and Back end load fees. Make sure when you do the rollover that you employer that controls the 401k program knows that you are doing a ROLLOVER not a widthdrawl. Other wise you will be charged 20% early widthdrawl fee.

Cannot do a 401K to a ROTH with out a penalty 401k is PRE tax dollars ROTH is After Tax dollars. I used to be a Financial Advisor for Morgan Stanley so I know a little bit about this stuff.

I was thinking the same

Buying Gold at an all time or near all time high is useless......what goes up WILL come down. Buy LOW sell HIGH, Not the other way around.........

LOL !!

Buying GM at an all time low 18 months ago was wise too eh?

Of course you need to SELL when you feel it peaks, but it isnt peaking for a while.

absolutely correct. it will be going up. But it will be hitting a plateau and eventualy comming down. I see 1500/ T oz topp's. The market cannot sustain these types of inflated prices.
