Who's boat will be the first to Gull island this year?
Here are the rules:
1. PICTURES ( you have to prove it w/ some pics)
2. Time and date you made it.
Just a fun thing to do. If you think you are the first to make it to gull island this year, take some pics and note the date and time and you are the winner.
This is us two years ago. Couldn't swim, but was a blast when we finally got a fire going.

This is us last year. Couldn't swim, but was a blast when we finally got a fire going.
I was in water twice that day.
I read everyone's promise to be in the water in April, but you can be sure one thing, those boats in the pictures are in much later than April. Look at the green trees in the background. Green leaves don't appear on trees (least wise around here) until mid, late May.
I love the pictures, but my guess is that these were not the first boats on Gull that year.

My pic that I posted was actually the second week in May, two years ago. I was't claiming to be the first boat out there. My whole point to this thread was to get peoples spirits up as the winter chill is still getting me/us down. Just something to discuss as a fun topic.
Hammer, maybe I'll see you there on Easter. Boat is scheduled to go in water Good Friday.
I still want to finish changing my anodes, add drive showers and a tie bar before then. I've got two more weekends so hopefully I can complete my goals.
I put my props on yesterday with Bobrob. Scheduled to take the boat out of the building April 1st - Thurdsay. Hope to be able to polish and wax the sides that weekend. Told them to drop it in during the next week. Will pick it up hopefully Friday and go straight to Metro. I will polish and wax the top side there like last year with fellow sand pointers.
I will need a ride out or back from Sunset on Harsens (right next to the ferry) that Friday so I need to work something out there.
Sounds like Sat. night before Easter we're doing the ham dinner. Bobrob got that going. Some peeps have plans for Sunday so we're doing it Saturday. Come join us.
