Fished Thursday evening 6:30 to 9:30 drifting from B marker to Strawberry Light. Caught a dozen rock bass. Using drop shots with crawlers. Our 6 yr old boy caught the biggest one, it was almost 12". Unfortunately we didn't get it weighed, so we can't submit it for a Master Angler Patch. Got some pics though and he was definately happy.

I dont think you need a weight. As long as you send in the photo with it next to the tape measure it should qualify you for the patch. If memory serves me correct 11 inches is the minimum lenght.

Yeah the rules are if you catch and release it all you need is a picture with the angler who caught it holding it. There also has to be a witness to sign that he verified the catch. If you keep it you have to have it weighed by an official or something. Its all on the DNR website
