I currently have Comcast digital cable (no pay channels like HBO either - just basic channels) and high-speed internet access. I must've been under a promotionional price which just ended bc they just billed me for $132.49 for montly services for both. I was like holy smokes that's expensive. I called WOW and scheduled for a connect, then called comcast to cancel and they gave me the NEW

promotional rate to retain me. Now I will pay $79.48 for digital cable PLUS HBO & high speed internet access - not bad!

Call 1-888-COMCAST and tell them you want to cancel - tell them you got the promotional price through WOW for $74.77/month for basic cable and high speed internet access and comcast will get a retaining agent on and tell you about the new promotions and tell them you want to take the one for one year with digital cable, HBO package, and high-speed internet access - your price will be $79.48 a month.

I just realized that as of January, WOW just started charging me rent for my cable modem. For all of 2003, they didn't. Anybody else notice this with WOW, or was my free rent part of a promotion?

I am stuck with comcast because WOW doesn't connect in my area, east of 16 & Crocker

we will be paying the promotional rate of $80 a month for tv and internet for 1 year. $3 of it is modem rental. No HBO, wonder how I could talk them into that without the WOW leverage?

Keep checking back with WOW, they are spreading fast. i did the same thig a couple months ago, big savings, and they dont mess up my bill all of the time.

No increase on my bill, but I use my own cable modem. A Linksys.....and their router, too.

$46 is good for Internet and Basic cable.

I was at promotional rate of $60 or so for Internet and Digital cable. that expired.. and of course my rates jumped up. I dropped the Digital since its pretty much worthless. I'm not sure how I got that rate, but when I was picking up my box they told me that the phone people aren't supposed to give the promotional rates to current subscribers. oh well.. they do.
I need to try the threatening to cancel trick next.
The chick at the Comcast office claims that 90% of people that have a dish switch back to cable. I am not sure where they got those caculations.. most people I know who have dishes love them.

$46 is for the internet only, but tapping into it and feeding to your TV gives you basic for free because it is always "on" the cable line.

Back when WOW was just starting up.... I tried that with comcast....They said OK see-ya in three months......Real smug and smart a$$ed........That was four years ago now and I pay $54.99 for basic plus three HBO`s , the highest speed they have modem.... They call me with specials and keep me updated with all the bells and whistles....
