I was sitting at work goofing off when the cell squacked at me. It was the wife of a friend that keeps his boat in the same building i do. She had gone down to the boat to wax on wax off. When she looked down the dock towards my boat (see my avatar) she saw that the storm had blown the whole end of the building off!!! So guess where i keep my boat and whaler and sailboat?
You got it!!
The end well of the building!!
oh yeah so she says "Randy(thats me) i think you might want to come down to the marina and check on your boat."
i ask "why is that?"
she says "the building has colapsed on you boat."
i say something like "@#$%&*"

zoom down to the boat(s) and there isnt even a piece of the building on any of the boats!!!!
it was like the boats had some Snowmaker type scifi shield around them!!

but wait till all yawl see the pics when i get them!!!!

Fatcat when ya get to the marina soon you will see what i mean!!

Markley!!
yes there were other boats just F'ed but good.

My one buddy was on his boat having coffee when the storm hit and he said the wind went from about 20 to about 70 like real quick!! White caps in the marina!!
Pieces of the building flew across the channel and landed next to his boat. Scared the poohpey out of him!!!

MORE to the story!!

this is F'ing unbelievable

The marina just called and said i need to move my boat right away!
go figure...

its right under and in the most severly damaged part of the building. but get this, i moved my boat last night.
so i tell the dumb [email protected]#t i already moved to the other building. and she gets all hyper and says oh no you cant do that i need you to move to D35. so i think to myself, how stupid can she be. i dock in D36 she wants me to move to D35, yawl see what this means? she asks me to re-move my boat right back into the severly damaged part of the building!!

Darwin was right....

Hey Pacaderm, I have some good friends at that Marina:

The boat is Jellybean... Do you know them?

They also have best friends, Bill and Sue, who keep their boat there.

Old Hat happened to be out of the building, cruising.
lucky for him cuz there was a whole bunch of building in his well!!

yeah the marinas blonde momments are actually quite funny when i think about it

hey Fatcat some of the pieces of F building flew across the cut towards your spot. lotsa sailboats along the cut were tipped over by the wind and got stuck under their docks.
it was pretty eeirie to say the least

I called the marina and they told me that my boat was ok I was not able to get out there last night. It was our aniversary(sp) 15 years now. Ill be there sat for sure and check everything out carefully. I had my cockpit cover on so I should notice any problems right away. THAT IS UNLESS IT BLEW OFF. Oh nnoooooooooooooooo
