<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I know that you used to be able to go to the secretary of state in Lansing and ask for the "commercial look up bureau". They would charge you $7 on your credit card and get you a response within 5 days.
I do not know if they have changed their policy in the last 10 years on that or not. Technically, it is public information, and they charge a fee to pay for their time to look it up. Thats how commercial companies get ownership info on vehicle types and owners addresses to send you junk mail.
Let us know if that still applies or not. Inquiring minds want to know....
I called the Macomb Marine Division and spoke to a deputy. He's going to look into the MC numbers and get back with me. I had to give him my name, address, etc.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>LOL I think Chris was commenting on the fact that he feels safe since you can't find him by his MC numbers.

What am I saying, if a Boston Whaler floated up to my seawall, I'd have already repainted it and re-serial numbered it
Well, I tried the normal route of asking around and talking to neighbors but no luck so now I'm trying other avenues.
It's a cool little boat that will be perfect for my wife and daughter to cruise the canals in.
