This past weekend I took a road trip across to the west side and continued on for a weekend in Chicago. Started off in Saugatuck and continued down through the other small towns, Benton Harbor and St Joseph along with Michigan City. The small downtowns with marinas and very nice boats were very cool. The only place on this side of the state that comes close is Lexington but not as big. I've been up to the Port Austin by car and didn't come across any places as cool. Is there anywhere I may have missed?
Chicago was again cool and would love to boat there to experience it from the water!
And yes I'm aware of the clientel on the W. side! There was a nice group of guys at the table next to us eating breakfast.
